Where to stay in Stratford-upon-Avon

If you have just been accepted to present at BritGrad 2024 and need to find a place to stay for the duration of the conference, then LOOK NO FURTHER! This blog post will identify some of the main hotels and guest houses in Stratford-upon-Avon for those attending the conference in-person in June 2024.


1)   Travelodge, Stratford-upon-Avon

251 Birmingham Rd, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 0BF

If you are looking for a budget-friendly place to stay, then the Travelodge is a good option to consider. Although located on the outskirts of Stratford (approximately 26 minutes walking distance from the Shakespeare Institute), the rooms are clean, and the hotel is surrounded by a number of different food and drink retailers. Buses from this location to the centre of town are also available. Car parking facilities are available on-site. Wheelchair accessible rooms are available upon request.

 

Approximate cost of stay: £50-£100 per night (prices will vary depending on the date of booking)

 



2)   Premier Inn Waterways, Stratford-upon-Avon

The Waterways, Birmingham Rd, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 0AZ

Premier Inn hotels also offer a budget-friendly hotel experience, and this hotel chain have two locations in Stratford (see #3 for more details about the other Premier Inn hotel). The walk from the Waterways Premier Inn to the Shakespeare Institute is approximately 16 minutes. This hotel is located within a 10-minute walk of the Stratford-upon-Avon train station. Car parking facilities are also available. Wheelchair accessible rooms are available upon request.

3) Premier Inn, Stratford-upon-Avon Central

Payton St, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6UQ

This Premier Inn is located in the centre of town, approximately 5 minutes walk from the RSC theatres and 11 minutes from the Shakespeare Institute. Wheelchair accessible rooms are available upon request.

4) The Queen’s Head

54 Ely St, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6LN

This local pub and guest house is located in the centre of town, approximately 5 minutes walk from the Shakespeare Institute.

5) DoubleTree by Hilton, Stratford-upon-Avon

Arden St, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6QQ

If you are looking for a more up-market stay, then the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel may be a good place to consider. This hotel is located near Stratford-upon-Avon train station, and approximately 13 minutes walk from the Shakespeare Institute. Wheelchair accessible rooms are available upon request.

6) Hotel Indigo, Stratford-upon-Avon

4 Chapel St, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6HA

This boutique hotel offers another comfortable and up-market stay in Stratford. Located in the centre of town, the Hotel Indigo is a mere 3-minute walk from the Shakespeare Institute. Wheelchair accessible rooms are available upon request.

Stratford tends to be quite a popular destination for tourists in the summer months so, if you are able to, we would recommend booking your accommodation as soon as possible! There are a number of other hotels and guesthouses in Stratford that you can find by searching on Google, or by using price comparison websites such as: trivago.com, hotels.com.
